Krakow international airport
The official name of the Krakow’s airport is Krakow Airport im. Jana Pawla II. This international airport is situated approx. 11km from the city centre. The concern called Miadzynarodowy Port Lotniczy im. Jana Pawła II Krakow – Balice sp. z. o.o. is a current administrator of the airport.
In terms of the total number of people and flights it’s the second biggesy airport in the country, only behind the Okecie in Warsaw. The perspectives for the airport seems very promising. About 8mln potential users lives within one hundred km from the airport, and in addition it is located on the extremely busy communication route. Balice airport is really well reachable due to large number of licensed companies offering Krakow airport transfers directly to every hotel in city cnetre.
Within next twenty years there is planned an expansion of the airport. The past prognoses were claiming that Balice will improve from 3,5mln passengers in 2015, to 6,5mln 10 years later.
